Support Worker – Children & Young People (CYP)

Velox Social Care is recruiting dedicated and experienced Support Workers across Durham and the surrounding areas to provide high-quality, person-centred support to Children and Young People (CYP) requiring structured and therapeutic care packages.

🔎 The Role

As a CYP Support Worker, you will:

* Deliver structured, therapeutic support in line with individual care plans

* Promote emotional regulation, independence, and resilience

* Encourage engagement in education, community activities, and life skills

* Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports

* Liaise effectively with colleagues, Care Management, and external professionals

* Provide support in both accommodation and community settings

We offer:

* Day shifts

* Night shifts

* Long and short shifts

Flexibility is essential due to varying client needs.

✅ Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

* Right to Work in the UK

* Minimum 6 months’ UK experience in a CYP or similar setting

* 3 references (2 professional, 1 character)

* In-date PMVA or Team Teach certificate (or willingness to complete Team Teach training)

* Enhanced Child DBS (Update Service or willing to obtain one)

* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
