Position Title: Employment Specialist/Job Placement Coordinator – Durham
Location: Durham, NC
Department: Cape Fear Life Enhancement Services
Job Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour (USD)
Salary & Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 sign‑on bonus ($500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year)

Our staff take a true person‑centered approach and focus on the individuality of each participant.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to assist participants in mastering tasks required for positions obtained.
- Interface with employers to build community relationships and assist in successful job placements.
- Perform pre‑vocational activities including but not limited to mock interviewing, resume building, application assistance, and problem solving.
- Develop rapport with participants to ensure the most suitable job match is attained.
- Multitask, manage time effectively, and communicate productively with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with training needs of participants, including evenings and weekends.
- Act as a positive role model at all times through reinforcement, encouragement, and resource sharing.
- Advocate for program participants to ensure equal opportunities.
- Model good work habits: punctuality, communication, positive attitude, professional appearance, and accountability.
- Complete all necessary documentation as assigned by supervisor.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams and Zoom.
- Position starts part‑time with potential to move to full‑time after 90 days depending on performance and company needs.
- Travel will be required (and reimbursed) to meet with employers, assist participants with interviews, and provide on‑site training.
- At minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred in Human Services.
- Experience working in a Human Services environment preferred; training will be provided to individuals with limited experience.
