Maintenance Technician – Research Park, Durham, NC

Cortland invites applicants for the role of Maintenance Technician at our Research Park in Durham, NC.

The position requires an EPA certification and 1–3 years of experience in facilities services or multi‑family resident maintenance. You will provide best‑in‑class service and perform basic maintenance throughout the community.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety panels, and pool equipment.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of community infrastructure and equipment.
• Maintain accurate job logs and comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• 1–3 years of experience in facilities or maintenance services, preferably in multi‑family properties.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and good communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
