Sales Account Manager, Reagent Services – Bio Space
Join us to drive and support sales efforts for GenScript’s custom life science services in the Research Triangle Park territory, ideally residing in the Durham, NC area. Estimated salary: $80,000 – $95,000 based on experience.
Job ScopeThe Sales Account Manager will implement sales and marketing strategies, using scientific and business knowledge to develop profitable initiatives and build relationships with research customers.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the District Sales Lead (DSL), Technical Account Managers (TAMs), and Regional Manager to develop and implement territory sales strategies for services, new markets, and applications.
- Collaborate with DSL, TAMs, and Sales teams to secure business in a competitive environment.
- Understand customers’ research applications and match GenScript’s custom life science services to their project requirements.
- Share market knowledge through weekly field feedback reports with Sales, TAM, and Marketing teams.
- Introduce GenScript to new researchers and companies in the industry.
- Allocate 50% of time to account management, quote and lead follow‑up; allocate the other 50% to field travel, customer visits, and virtual meetings to build relationships and achieve sales goals.
- Strong scientific background:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a life science field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in scientific or life science sales.
- Knowledge of the Biological and CRO or CDMO market or general biotech industry, with emphasis on Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, and Cell Line Products/Services preferred.
- Laboratory experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment.
