We are seeking a Research Technician for a full-time, on-site role at our Durham, NC facility. In this role, you will provide hands-on veterinary care for our research animals, including assisting with routine animal care and procedures, administering treatments, preparing for and monitoring anesthesia, and supporting research activities maintaining a high standard of animal welfare. As a key part of our team, you will work closely with veterinarians and researchers to ensure scientific and ethical rigor in all activities.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Animal Care and Veterinary Technology to support research and provide healthcare to animals
- Experience in Anesthesiology, including preparation, administration, and monitoring of anesthesia
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of animal welfare
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent licensure is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a research environment is desired
- Proficiency in record maintenance and compliance with regulatory standards
