Stefanini is looking for a Greenhouse Technician in Research Triangle Park, NC 27709

Minimum of HS Diploma or GED;
Associate's/Technical degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields is preferred.

• Seed inventory management experience, including working with large seed inventory (25,000+ packets). Tasks include sorting/organizing packets in numerical order, physically scanning to cross reference digital shipping lists, updating weights/quantities, and updating old legacy labels to align with new database seed lot names.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and efficiently in a lab environment.
• Comfortable and proficient using Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail. Accuracy and precision are of the utmost importance for this position.
• Experience working in the field and greenhouse is desired.

• Perform general greenhouse work independently, such as making pots and flats, planting, watering, fertilizing, tying/trimming plants for upkeep, seed harvesting, seed threshing, seed counting, and maintaining various crop plants.
• Maintain and clean greenhouses and work areas.
• Assist with collection of plant tissue samples.
• Utilize data management applications to collect and record data, under supervision.
• Perform pest control including insect scouting, pesticide/herbicide application, beneficial release, and integrated pest management techniques.
• Comply with Stewardship and Biosafety requirements and QMS directives and protocols; follow SOPs/Work Instructions.
• Operate equipment and maintain appropriate documentation; manage work activities related to the operational area.
• Employee must be detail oriented, responsible, able to work in hot humid environments, and able to stand for extended periods of time.
