American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring rheumatology, ED, or med/surg experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to type 40 WPM in an on-site, Monday–Friday day shift role.

• On-site telephone triage call center setting within a health engagement center
• Manages an average of 90 calls and 170 in-basket messages daily, answering approximately 120–150 live calls per day in addition to responding to in-basket messages and prescription refill requests
• Patient interactions span rheumatology, allergy, and pulmonary case types
• May float to Allergy/Pulmonary/Rheumatology Triage as needed
• Day shift schedule:
  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Rheumatology, Rheumatology Triage, ED, Med/Surg, or Allergy/Pulmonary required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM required
• 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

• Responsibilities include answering live triage calls, managing in-basket messages, and processing prescription refill requests
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but are subject to a reduced pay rate
