American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring Epic proficiency, a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM, and prior triage or relevant clinical experience.

• On-site telephone triage call center setting
• Handles an average of 90 calls and 170 in-basket messages daily, with approximately 120–150 live calls per day
• Responsibilities include responding to in-basket messages and processing refills in addition to live call management
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule:
  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend requirements
• May float to Rheumatology triage
• 13-week contract

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification in hand
• Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM required
• 2 years of recent experience in Triage Clinic, Internal Medicine, ED, or Allergy/Immunology/Pulmonology required
• Epic charting experience required
• 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Manages high-volume call flow and electronic message queues in a fast-paced call center environment
• Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible; candidates within this radius are subject to a local pay rate
