  • Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30); option for 4 x 12-hour shifts (48 hrs/week)
  • Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site Emergency Department (ED) RN
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910-$2010/week
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: May float to ED observation unit
  • Scrubs: Royal Blue
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in a Level II Trauma Center (trauma nurse / emergency nursing experience)
  • Active NC or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • EPIC charting experience required (EPIC experience for ED documentation)
  • Preferred: CPI and TNCC certifications (CPI can be completed onsite if not already held)
  • Ability to assess and care for all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
  • One supervisory reference from the past year required
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy Level II Trauma Center
  • Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with trauma, cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, psychiatric, and medical emergencies
  • Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and emergency interventions as indicated
  • Perform emergency nursing interventions and assist with trauma and resuscitation teams (trauma nurse responsibilities)
  • Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
  • Float to ED observation unit as needed and maintain flexibility for departmental needs
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols; participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing training modules
