Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and BLS/PALS certifications.

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours, from 7:00 to 19:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to other pediatric areas as needed
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted if residing within 75 miles
• Must comply with holiday coverage requirements if applicable
• Team-oriented environment with support from experienced staff

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years highly preferred
• PCICU experience strongly preferred; NICU, Peds Stepdown, or PEDs RN experience with PICU floating will be considered
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required
• Full SSN and date of birth must be provided for consideration
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
