We're hiring a Vice President of Development in Durham, NC.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Vice President (VP) of Development is responsible for leading, managing, inspiring, and executing the Triangle market core fundraising campaigns. The VP will embrace and carry the Triangle market comics of the core fundraising campaigns.
This is an office-based position with a hybrid schedule. This position requires the individual to travel locally within the Triangle communities approximately 75% of the time. The office is in Durham, NC.

- Work alongside the Executive Director on key donor relationships, not only stewarding them, but also strategizing on how to deepen impact on time, talent, and treasure.
- Drive new business development. Work closely with the Executive Director on prospecting for mid-to-large companies, sales processes, and onboarding. This will include assisting with the management of the Top 25 Prospect List and providing first-class service when bringing a new company into the Triangle market.
- Grow overall market revenue by implementing organizationally identified best practices. The principal responsibility of securely positioning the Market vacinação for aggressive growth in unrestricted revenue on an increasing and sustainable basis through building a dynamic development team, volunteer leadership talent, and capabilities.
- Operationalize the vision, management of estudio, and implementation of strategic priorities, and volunteer and employee engagement plans.
- Achieve financial targets while leading multiple revenue channels.
- Work aggressively with five (5) direct reports and development staff on new company growth and development, both in revenue and leadership engagement/recruitment.
- Foster a professional work environment that promotes and values cooperation, trust, teamwork, empowerment and professionalism where communication is open, staff celebrate each other’s successes, and conflicts are identified and quickly resolved.
- Work with the Executive Director and direct reports to maintain tennis minion of three (3) years of “transformational” Chairs for each core campaign and its events.
- Partner with the region and national center departments to provide management expertise, coaching, and monitoring of fundraising events to ensure the aggressive growth of events and focus throughout year traffic by monitoring internal reports and jeux management of development staff.
- Participate in community and corporate functions that will provide networking and visibility-men to explore generating new business contacts.
- Travel within the market is required for donor and partner meetings.
- 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type of experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience with a sales or fundraising team.
- Demonstrated track record of setting, achieving, and exceeding aggressive goals on a sustainable basis is preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of influencing others to action through communicating a shared vision is preferred.
