Our client, a leading residential community management organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the upkeep and improvement of the community. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a reliable work ethic, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Durham, NC

Pay Rate: $20.00



Shift: Monday
- Friday (8am-5pm)

What's the Job?
  • Plumbing

  • Replace faucets, toilets, and standard fixtures

  • Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and drainage issues

  • Operate sewer augers for routine plumbing needs

  • Electrical

  • Replace outlets, switches, and lighting

  • Troubleshoot GFCIs, breakers, and basic residential wiring

  • Property & Grounds

  • Lawn mowing, weeding, trash removal, and general landscaping

  • Maintain curb appeal and community cleanliness

  • Unit Turnovers

  • Perform clean-outs, light repairs, and minor upgrades

  • Prepare units efficiently for incoming residents

  • General Maintenance

  • Complete service requests independently and in a timely manner

  • Support preventive maintenance across the community

What's Needed?
  • 2–3 years of general labor or property maintenance experience

  • 1–2 years of basic residential plumbing experience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

  • Basic technology skills (work order apps / smartphones)

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Willingness to complete a hands‑on maintenance skills assessment
