Your role and responsibilities

As part of the software development community at IBM, you'll get to work on the systems that are driving IBM Cloud services. Join our team of creators - the people who help move IBM forward by using their imagination to envision solutions, their curiosity to experiment with new ideas and their ever-growing skills to make better decisions with greater speed on the most trusted platforms in today's market.

More specifically, as a Technical Content Professional you will design, develop, curate and analyze the technical content that enables digital self‑service for clients. This includes creating in‑product assistance, documentation, training materials, and support content that help users understand and effectively interact with complex products. Individuals in this role combine analytical problem‑solving skills, growing autonomy and cross‑team collaboration to deliver high‑quality content solutions that improve customer outcomes and support organizational goals.

Working alongside architects, developers & engineers, your work will complement effort to create reusable, scalable, enterprise systems that enable continuous delivery on-premises and in the cloud. For example,in addition to above-referenced role specifics, your responsibilities may include a need to:

* Apply analytical thinking to identify patterns, improve workflows and solve problems with minimal guidance

* Document and refine existing procedures to simplify team workflows

* Conduct independent analysis and collaborate with peers to recommend content or process improvements

* Propose and implement small‑scale automation solutions that streamline routine tasks

* Expand understanding of the client's business, industry, market, and technology landscape

* Use collaboration and communication technologies, including AI‑driven tools with growing proficiency

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Minimally, the incumbent will possess:

* Prior (project or internship) experience in technical content creation

* Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, transparency and conciseness

* Passion for technology and its potential to solve problems

* Growth minded, trusted, team focused, courageous, resourceful and outcome focused

* Foundational analytical thinking skills, including recognizing patterns and trends in data

* Skill in documenting, simplifying, and refining workflows or procedures

Preferred technical and professional experience

The ideal candidate will also have experience with or a working knowledge of:

* Cloud development (pushing code through a CI/CD pipeline)

* Generative AI practical application in development environment to include prompt engineering

* Developing expertise in a client's business - industry, market, technology and user needs

* Virtualization concepts and cloud operations

* Creating small‑scale automation solutions to improve team efficiency
