Position SummaryThe Front End Developer will play an important role in the development and execution of Fuqua s digital marketing ecosystem. This role focuses on front-end design and development, user interface, and user experience to produce polished, professional, and engaging digital media—including websites, blogs, HTML emails, and campaign landing pages—optimized for use across devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
The Front End Developer will assist in maintaining Fuqua s Drupal environment (not as a primary responsibility), test functionality, and recommend and implement process improvements to enhance web content delivery. This role also supports systems connected to the prospective student experience, including CRM tools and mass mailing platforms, and is responsible for building and maintaining all HTML email communications.
Working closely with technical and non-technical partners, the Front End Developer will help deliver memorable, accessible, and easy-to-navigate digital experiences that align with Fuqua s brand standards. This position collaborates closely with the Drupal Developer, Fuqua s Infrastructure group, and Fuqua s Software Development group.
Key Responsibilities- Create and support website features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), and React.
- Support Fuqua s commitment to accessibility across all digital properties.
- Assist with maintenance of Fuqua s Drupal environment.
- Maintain and support Word Press sites, including module development.
- Build and maintain HTML emails and reusable templates for marketing campaigns.
- Partner with the digital web project manager to define project requirements.
- Maintain and continuously improve existing websites and digital properties.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research and share emerging interactive standards and digital trends to ensure best practices.
- Collaborate with the Drupal Developer, Infrastructure, and Software Development teams as needed.
- Bachelor s degree with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with HTML (web and email), CSS, JavaScript (React, Next.js), and Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with Word Press;
Drupal experience preferred but not required. - Working knowledge of PHP, Git, and Sass.
- Experience using Git workflows in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and WCAG best practices.
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies to support an integrated user experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools.
- Experience working in higher education and/or business education environments.
