NetSuite Technical Lead

Overview

We are working with a mission-driven energy company that is seeking a Net Suite Technical Lead to join its Digital team in either Durham, NC or Washington, DC. This high-impact position will serve as the primary Net Suite administrator and technical owner of a growing ecosystem of integrated financial platforms. The role is ideal for a systems-savvy professional who thrives in cross-functional environments and is eager to drive innovation, automation, and governance across a complex, multi-entity organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting accounting, finance, supply chain, and digital transformation efforts. You will manage end-to-end systems projects, lead new integrations, and ensure the performance and reliability of Net Suite and related tools.

Salary: $125,000 – $170,000 (depending on experience) + bonus target + full benefits (medical/dental/vision/401k match + more)

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) in Durham, NC or Washington, DC

• Serve as the technical lead and administrator for Net Suite, overseeing configurations, customizations, dashboards, permissions, and sandbox management.
• Lead systems governance by developing scalable frameworks, automations, and best practices that support financial compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Manage full lifecycle of integrations with third-party tools including planning and budgeting, tax, treasury, and reconciliation platforms.
• Drive automation and digital transformation efforts aimed at consolidating and optimizing financial workflows across departments.
• Provide day-to-day support for system users, resolve tickets, coordinate with vendors, and develop internal documentation and training resources.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure systems meet evolving operational and strategic needs; proactively identify areas for improvement or risk.
• Monitor system health and performance; manage patching, upgrades, and release testing to maintain uptime and efficiency.

• 5+ years of Net Suite administration experience in a multi-entity or global setting
• Deep understanding of Net Suite modules including General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, and Projects
• Proven track record managing integrations, automation, and reporting across enterprise systems
• Strong understanding of system governance, data integrity, and user security
• Effective communicator with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience with tools such as Avalara, Flo Qast, Workiva, or Treasury Management Systems is a plus
• Knowledge of Suite Script, SQL, or Net Suite Analytics is a plus
• Industry experience in capital-intensive environments (e.g., energy, infrastructure) is a plus
