Business Systems Analyst - EPIC

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst with strong healthcare and technical expertise to support the Epic Payer Platform and health data interoperability initiatives.

This role involves analyzing, designing, and configuring complex business and clinical systems using Epic, including facilitating data exchange through Epic Bridges and SMART on FHIR APIs.

The analyst will also support reporting needs using Epic's Cogito tools, focusing on critical payer data such as eligibility, claims, and membership.

• Analyze and document complex business requirements across clinical, claims, and member services domains.
• Translate business needs into actionable functional and technical specifications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Epic Payer Platform and its integration with external systems.

• Configure, test, and maintain Epic modules to support business operations.
• Collaborate with end-users during implementations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Epic applications.

• Implement data exchange initiatives using FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and Epic Bridges.
• Design and troubleshoot interfaces for seamless data exchange.
• Define requirements for API-based data exchange using RESTful APIs and FHIR resources.
• Support integration of third-party SMART on FHIR applications.

• Utilize Epic’s Cogito tools (Radar, Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer) for reporting and analytics.
• Focus on payer data reporting including eligibility, claims, and membership.
• Extract, analyze, and validate data for decision-making and compliance.
• Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a healthcare setting.
• 3 years of experience with Epic systems, especially the Epic Payer Platform.
• 3 years of experience with Epic Bridges interface functionality.
• 3 years of experience with Epic Cogito reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data (eligibility, claims, membership).
• Proficiency in HL7 FHIR and SMART on FHIR standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Epic certification in Payer-related or Cogito modules.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Epic certifications (Payer-related or Cogito modules) – preferred.
