Job Details
To serve and assist guests during their stay by creating a memorable and efficient arrival, check‑in, departure, and overall stay experience. Handle guest requests including help with luggage, transportation, information, and other needs.
Duties & Responsibilities- Greeting and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner. Visible in the lobby area to recognize when assistance may be needed.
- Handling luggage and boxes at guest and group registration and departure, including tagging and storage when requested.
- Escorting guests to their rooms and promoting hotel amenities (irons, coffeemakers, blackout drapes, vending/ice machines, athletic club, video checkout, etc.).
- Assisting with the delivery of keys, mail, faxes, and messages in a timely manner.
- Providing area directions and information.
- Assisting guests with valet parking and securing taxis when requested.
- Transporting guests to and from the airport.
- Able to drive and maintain hotel vans, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and fueling.
- Delivering and picking up guest laundry.
- Keeping porte‑cochere free of debris and emptying trash cans daily.
- Answering telephones in a professional manner.
- Providing the RTP Shuttle Service when assigned.
- Using the GXP system to complete tasks and report issues or requests.
- Performing other assigned duties.
- One‑year public contact or customer service experience.
- Valid NC driver’s license and strong driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and customer‑service mindset.
- Basic computer and computational skills.
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Problem‑solving ability and handling of service issues or complaints.
- Quick and efficient response to guest requests and business volume.
- General knowledge of the community and attractions.
- Willingness to learn about the hotel, its services, and facilities.
- Team‑player mindset providing excellent guest services.
- Availability for a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to spend long hours moving, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing duties, including vehicle entry and exit.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Maintains a strong personal image and uniform standards.
- Pay: hourly position starting at $15 per hour plus tips.
- Hours:
Overnight shifts from 10 pm to 6 am.
