About the Role

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) at The Hilton Garden Inn Southpoint. The AGM will oversee the daily operations, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience as directed by the General Manager or in their absence.

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual, preferably with robust experience in food and beverage, sales, or events management. Your leadership will inspire the team to consistently deliver excellence, celebrate victories, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

As the AGM, you will play a vital role in achieving our operational goals, while maintaining our high standards for guest satisfaction and associate morale. Your solid operational and administrative skills, coupled with a passion for mentorship, will empower you to guide your colleagues toward professional growth.

Scope of the Role
  • Work 50 hours per week, including weekends and evenings. Hours beyond this require prior approval.
  • Responsible for the full day-to-day operations of the hotel as designated by the General Manager.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, coach, and mentor to hotel associates and act as an ambassador to guests.
  • Ensure all brand standards for guest satisfaction are met or exceeded.
  • Assist the General Manager in achieving budget revenue and GOP goals, focusing on cost management and savings opportunities across all departments.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Maintain productive relationships with Corporate Central Services including IT, Accounting, Development, Administration, and senior executives.
  • Understand franchise policies, procedures, and property management systems.
  • Participate in all phases of associate selection, training, and motivation.
  • Conduct guest service relations, training, and guest response processes.
  • Lead the budgeting process and meet financial goals.
  • Oversee Manager on Duty (MOD) program, front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping operations.
  • Audit safety committee and hotel security activities.
  • Support all corporate directives and compliance, including payroll, personnel, and insurance issues.
  • Report business activities on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain inventory control and oversee all accounting and computer procedures at the front desk.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel management experience, preferably within Hyatt, Marriott, or Hilton brands.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a proven track record in guest service and associate management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare, audit, and understand hotel financial reports, purchase orders, and inventory controls.
  • College degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Highly organized and efficient, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • F&B experience is a plus.
  • Strong interest in further career development.
