What This Role Matters

This position ensures members receive the right medications at the right time by supporting high‑quality prior authorization reviews, compliance tracking, and pharmacy benefit operations. Your work directly influences patient care, service quality, and regulatory adherence.

What You'll Do
  • Review prior authorization requests and make determinations according to member benefits and established coverage criteria
  • Report utilization review statistics to corporate compliance committees
  • Review data and summarize daily utilization review numbers
  • Track compliance of review cases and ensure timely case management
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to assigned pharmacy technicians
  • Apply knowledge of drug coding (NDC, GCN, GPI, USC) and NCPDP claims adjudication systems
  • Review guideline criteria for prior authorization and non‑formulary drugs to support P&T Committee functions and benefit design
  • Evaluate quality controls and implement performance‑improvement opportunities in pharmacy practices
  • Research drug information to maintain clinical knowledge and disease‑state expertise
What We're Looking For
  • A current, up‑to‑date resume
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in pharmacy
  • 3+ years of experience in a related clinical or utilization review setting
  • Current state pharmacy license
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
