Housekeeper Supervisor Salaried HCC (2601639)

Supervises, organizes, and directs duties of the Housekeeping Department. Performs various tasks to maintain the nursing center in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

• Coordinates and oversees the activities assigned to housekeeping partners.
• Inspects and makes daily rounds to ensure housekeeping duties are performed and procedures meet facility needs.
• Evaluates productivity and quality of each employee and determines additional training needs.
• Reports occupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals according to facility policies.
• Ensures housekeeping partners wear personnel protective equipment and use safety supplies.
• Reviews and assists in corrective plans for housekeeping deficiencies noted during surveys.
• Ensures maintenance of housekeeping supply stock levels.
• Participates in departmental budget planning and housekeeping supplies.
• Performs all job duties of housekeeping partners as needed.

On-the-job training.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care center, or related healthcare facility.
• Training in environmental control practices preferred but not required.
