Duke University Health System seeks to hire a CT Technologist that is experienced with independent work platforms and analyzing post-scan 3D imaging who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
The Duke Multi-Dimensional Imaging Lab offers post-processing services for any Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) angiographic study scanned at our institution. We will also provide this service for any non-angiographic CT or MRI study with a valid order by an MD. Post-processing may include multi-planar reformations, maximum intensity projections, volume rendering, and quantitative analysis. Longitudinal reports will be provided on request to demonstrate changes in anatomical or pathological conditions over time.
We also offer access to 3D tools for referring physicians, so they may interact with the exam data in real time. We are located in the Hock Plaza Building, near Duke Medical Center. Parking is available behind the building with advanced reservations.
What you will do:
Operate computer software for production of 3D images and multiplanar reconstructions from CT and MRI datasets for optimal visualization of patient?s anatomic structures and pathology, using established 3D post-processing protocols.
Ensure that images requiring post processing or manipulation are networked to appropriate workstations, and processed images are networked to PACS and other viewing or archival systems in a timely manner.
Perform a variety of advanced processing analysis of DICOM data to include 3D and 4D reformations.
Quantitative analysis and volume measurements of radiologic DICOM image datasets and 3D printing.
Manipulate digital medical images on advanced post processing workstations in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and quantitative analysis of diagnostic and interventional studies.
Manage transfer of all image data to and from the Multi-D Lab workstations in an accurate and timely manner, and use the available radiology information systems to acquire relevant patient history and examination status.
Be well versed in CT and MRI scanning technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and gross pathology. These skills and knowledge are essential to be able to identify artifacts in the images, and to be able to respond to clinicians? detailed requests for views depicting certain anatomy and/or pathology, measurements and guides to surgical planning.
Use EPIC and Weblog to check patient medical history and update exam status, for tracking, order entry (when applicable) and billing purposes.
