This consultant position works directly with patients in providing personalized education, consultation, and support in managing the physical side effects of treatment. The consultant works with patients to provide wig, hat, and scarf fittings; skincare and makeup consultations; education on hair loss and scalp care; and guidance regarding sexual health and intimacy products.

Hours:

This part‑time role is scheduled for two days per week, ideally Monday and Friday, with occasional flexibility to cover vacation shifts or support our Raleigh boutiques. The boutique operates from 9:00‑4:00, with typical staff hours running 8:30‑4:30 including a lunch break.

• Provide self‑image consultations to patients. Consultations include education about topics such as hair loss, scalp care, hair care, and skin changes; available products and services (such as prosthetics and orthotics, wigs, skin‑care products, make‑up, scarves, hats, clothing, self‑image counseling, sexual health and intimacy services); personalized recommendations for self‑image products based on patient preference; hands‑on training for wig care, hair care, skin care, scalp care, make‑up techniques, scarf tying, clothing options, etc.;
  
  support patients and family members coping with the impact of treatments (radiation therapy; chemotherapy; surgery; etc.) and referral to support services as needed.
• Retail responsibilities, such as opening and closing of store and registers, sales transactions.
• Balance cash drawer and credit‑card transactions, make bank deposits, daily sales documentation and reporting.
• Merchandise and in‑kind donation inventory intake.
• Maintain product displays.
• Site‑specific supervision and training of volunteers.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and their family members.

High School Diploma

Two years of customer service experience.
