Our client, a hospital located near Durham, NC, has a need for a CT Tech to join their team. You'll be working Tuesday
- Friday (10:00a-8:30p).
They are offering a $15,000 sign on bonus.
Job Responsibilities- Patient Identification:
Uses professional manners and methods, verifies patient identification, obtains patient history, assists patients and family members that require extra attention, ensures patient understanding whenever possible, and ensures patient safety. - CT Scans:
Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi Brus Panel and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selects appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy. - Contrast:
Administers oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establishes intravenous lines, administers IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, follows correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility, checks appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol. - Image Transfer:
Maintains thorough understanding of PACS nb?; transmits images to QC, the hospital’s EMR, EPIC, and PACS, verifies and segments images at the QC station, accesses IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, completes, modifies and/or cancels orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancels duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. - Ensures that all charge information is accurate.
- Precept new employees and students.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible with a copy of the diploma from an accredited program.
- Advanced certification in CT.
- Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and must maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
- All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.
