Role SummaryThe Program Manager oversees the strategic, operational, and administrative functions of the EEG Laboratory program, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, ICU EEG, EMU, remote EEG/telemedicine, and related initiatives. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities Program Oversight & Strategy- Coordinate and participate in meetings with faculty members to determine objectives of the program and/or center and to identify internal and external resources available to meet those objectives. Develop and implement program protocol, procedures, and operating policies.
- Lead the overall administration and performance of EEG-related services and programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to define program objectives, success metrics, and growth strategies.
- Develop and manage capital and operational budgets, monitor reimbursement changes (e.g., CPT codes), and establish productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion and adoption of new technologies across affiliated hospitals and regional markets.
- Develop and maintain clear job descriptions and competency standards for all program staff.
- Partner with leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain qualified personnel (technologists, engineers, research assistants, administrative staff).
- Ensure staff meet continuing education and credentialing requirements.
- Provide guidance and feedback to foster optimal performance and professional development.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and technical standards in alignment with national and international guidelines.
- Oversee accreditation processes and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and improve the quality of technical performance, interpretation accuracy, reporting timeliness, and billing processes.
- Implement robust quality improvement programs and safety protocols.
- Assess and optimize lab infrastructure, including facilities, equipment, software, and IT systems.
- Select and implement appropriate technologies to support program objectives.
