The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing patients with proper procedure and excellent quality images to assist physicians in diagnosing patients' conditions. The technician will perform and record all sonographic procedures per department protocols, operate ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot PACS issues, and contribute to work organization, scheduling, and staff training and evaluation as part of a self‑directed team. The technician also participates in performance improvement projects within the ultrasound department.

Education & Experience Requirements :
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved ultrasound technologist program.
- Registered diagnostic medical sonographer (ARDS or equivalent) or obtained within one year of hire.
- RVT preferred.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Proficient in various ultrasound scanning techniques.
- Knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and ability to demonstrate anatomical relationships.
- Knowledge of quality control for image quality, processor, and equipment.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control guidelines.
- Vascular experience.
- At least two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist in a hospital setting.
