About the Hiring Group

RTI’s Finance Organization is seeking Financial Analyst interns to join a CFO Pricing Operations team. The Financial Analyst Intern will play a key role in supporting the Pricing team’s budget and cost proposal development processes.

What You’ll Do

Scope of Work

This opportunity will provide experience in the RTI Finance organization as well as exposure to the Federal government contracting industry, among others. Interns will gain skills in finance, budgeting, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in RTI’s onboarding process to learn RTI’s financial processes and procedures.
  • Review documents to identify financial or contractual risk issues.
  • Accurately prepare budgets and financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Compile documentation to submit in business proposals to a variety of clients including federal, state and local, international, commercial, foundations, etc.
  • Update data in financial pricing software and obtain necessary reviews.
  • Collaborate with RTI pricing analysts and other cross‑functional team members on a variety of proposals.
  • Research information as needed on share drives, internal websites, or other databases.
  • Perform other finance‑related duties, projects, or cross‑training as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a 4‑year university, majoring in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (e.g., Adobe, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and compiling multiple documents into a single, clearly formatted PDF volume.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with work.
  • Related experience and interest in government contracting, financial analysis, project management, and/or risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytical skills using financial tools such as Excel, Smart View, etc.
  • Capable of working independently and with teammates.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and learning.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement.
