Planning Associate (Administrative)

Monarch Financial Planning Partners is seeking a Planning Associate to provide support to the Director of Financial Planning on financial planning analysis and the development of strategies for clients. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

General Duties
  • Maintain detailed case notes and clear plan summaries
  • Keep new statements, account forms and other investment related materials organized in appropriate folders
  • Track transfers and implementation status
  • Create materials to continually improve the financial planning process for clients
  • Correspond with clients and assist in servicing their accounts
  • Proactively review information received from clients prior to meeting and request missing information if needed
  • Provide rationale for transfer or rollover recommendations in consideration of taxes, fees, product comparisons, etc
  • Prepare, update and ensure accuracy on financial plans
  • Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and followed
  • Monitor industry trends and research
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial service or insurance industry preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and Windows skills required
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Active Health and Life license, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63, or the ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Willingness to learn new skills and continuously growing in the role
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
