Position: Product Engineer (onsite)

Support the development of wire & cable compounds, while ensuring regulatory compliance for all the applicable requirements across all product lines; and responds to Inquiries from customers and regulatory authorities. Contributing to quality system Improvements and digitalization Initiatives. The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure products meet technical, regulatory and quality standards. Position is responsible for adhering to all Company safety, health, and loss control policies and procedures.

Participates in safety, health, and loss control training so that at a minimum general knowledge of applicable, OSHA, and state requirements are maintained.

The role involves managing multiple responsibilities across product development, quality and regulatory compliance. It requires technical expertise in wire and cable products, understanding of regulatory frameworks across various product lines, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams. The engineer must prioritize operational tasks while ensuring adherence to compliance standards, contributing to continuous improvement and digitalization efforts within the Technical Management Area.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the development of wire & cable products, ensuring they meet technical specifications and performance requirements.
  • Advice about the regulatory compliance for all products manufactured, keeping up to date with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to support system improvement, digitalization (quality reports), and process optimization initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to production, engineering, and other cross functional teams during product development.
  • Document processes, test results, and regulatory compliance evidence as required.
  • Any other tasks requested by the Sr. Technical Manager.
Qualifications
  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related science discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years product development and regulatory compliance.
  • General Knowledge of PVC compounding & Formulation.
  • General knowledge of plastic compounding processes.
  • Specialized knowledge of major regulatory bodies and regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of global product regulatory requirements and international standards (GHS, TSCA, FDA, REACH, ISO, OSHA, RoHS).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using computers and software Including SAP and MS Office.
  • Broad knowledge of environmental regulations.
