Calibration Technician
Shift: 7:00a-7:30p Rotating Weeks:
Week1:
Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat. Week 2:
Sun, Wed, Thurs
Main Accountabilities:
The following accountabilities will apply as appropriate.
• Use the CCMS (BM RAM) paperless calibration program to record calibration data and submit asset change requests to improve the overall use of the CCMS and the information provided in an asset record.
• Provide SME technical expertise and guidance to others throughout the facility, interacting with employees at all levels at the site.
• Contribute to the control of calibration costs, continually improving efficiencies and identifying opportunities for cost reductions.
• Troubleshoot calibration failures and make recommendations for any instrumentation improvements.
• Develop, generate, and modify calibration methods and procedures for existing and new calibrated instrumentation to ensure clarity and correct execution for all team members while performing calibrations.
• Contribute at the project team level for calibration activities and participate in instrument and calibration specification development.
• Participate and provide input in team meetings.
• Develop and provide technical job aids and training presentations for calibration related activities.
• Initiate and/or improve program level processes.
Knowledge & Experience:
• Associates degree in a Scientific/Technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years of industry experience (or related field) or a high school diploma and a minimum of 8 years of calibration-specific experience in an FDA regulated industry required.
• Thorough knowledge of industry standards with regard to calibration in a regulated environment.
• A demonstrated attention to detail and experience with good documentation practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) .
• Experience with CCMS (Blue Mountain RAM) is a plus.
