Description

The Materials Engineer working in an R&D/Pilot production facility is typically responsible for supporting the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of process equipment and systems while assisting in production optimization and documentation tasks.

• Conduct research on the properties and characteristics of materials
• Develop new materials that meet the requirements of specific applications
• Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures
• Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration
• Communicate results of tests and analyses to team members and management
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to research and develop new materials
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines in all work areas
• Investigate or test specific physical properties of materials, such as strength, hardness, and heat or cold resistance, to determine suitability for specific products or applications
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science, engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Some hands‑on experience (internships or coursework) in manufacturing or process engineering is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment or tools sourcing
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and other applications
• Proficient with computer modeling software
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively
