The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance support and coordination for Pelthos’ API facilities and engineering team. Pelthos is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and well-rounded engineering technician that can perform basic site maintenance/troubleshooting on HVAC, process, and other miscellaneous site equipment. This position will also be responsible for coordinating any maintenance that needs to be performed by outside vendors.

• Responsible for performing and coordinating site maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage the maintenance schedule.
  • Complete GMP documentation reflecting site work performed.
  • Independently troubleshoot site equipment issues.
  • Work with outside vendors to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory and ensuring adequate spare parts on hand.
  • Perform general facility maintenance.
• Responsible for assisting in site shutdown activities.
  • Work with outside vendors to perform site maintenance/repair activities on facilities and process equipment. Learn and gain a greater understanding of site equipment.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Provide project support on major investment initiatives.
  • Assist management in the day-to-day operations of critical capital projects.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant area with a minimum of 5 years working in a regulated or chemical industry (pharmaceutical/FDA preferred) or High School Diploma with at least 7 years of experience.
• Experience in pharma industry.
• Proficient User of MS Office.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot when necessary. Past experience with both process and facility equipment preferred.
• Calibration experience.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
• Prior use of CMMS systems.
• Knowledge and experience in HVAC systems is highly preferred.
• Experience working to regulatory standards: FDA, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Good Documentation Procedures (GDP).
• Experience in Central Utilities including, but not limited to:
  Compressed Air, bulk nitrogen, Chilled Water, Heating Hot Water, 208/240V Electricity.
• Applicable PLC experience.
• Schneider Building Management System experience.
• Applicable maintenance trending experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all level of technical ability and expertise.

The essential functions of this position include:

• Lift up to 25lbs on a frequent basis
• Lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a frequent basis
• Reach, hands and arms on a frequent basis
• Use hands to feel on an occasional basis
• Communicate using hearing and speech on a frequent basis
• Use sense of smell and vision (color difference, depth perception) on a frequent basis
