Bromma is currently seeking a Product Support Engineer that will be located in our Durham, North Carolina office (Other location will be considered). We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic team player to join our organization. This position will play an important part in, and contribute to the success of our US organization.

As a Bromma Product Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to carry out the day to day tasks and assignments associated with providing technical support for customers, Sales, Service and Spare Parts in the Americas sales territory. This is a direct position dealing with many departments within the Bromma organization, both in the Americas and around the world.

Bromma Spreaders has a strong Swedish heritage and is the industry’s most experienced manufacturer of container spreaders and lifting equipment. Since the 1960’s, we have built thousands of fully automatic crane spreaders with an estimated 5000 units in operation globally. Bromma has delivered spreaders to more than 500 terminals in over 90 countries on 6 continents. Bromma’s spreaders are in use in 47 out of the top 50 ports worldwide.

This position is based out of the Bromma Americas headquarters in Durham, NC (Remote option available). The office in NC is also our base of operations for our North American team. We also have supporting locations for the region in Miami, FL;
Ottawa, KS; and Charleston, SC.

• Base Salary: $75k - $90k per year

• Technical Support:
  Provide technical assistance to sales, service and spare parts team members; attend/hold technical meetings and make presentations for the customer and sales/service team members.

  Collaborate with sales to properly outline the scope of work for new spreaders sales through Product Configuration and Order Specification for spreaders sold into the Americas territory; coordinate with sales concerning customer communications affecting the design of the product; coordinate design efforts with sales personnel or customer representative in order to determine application demands and customer expectation; coordinate with services concerning problems with the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural components on the product;
  
  coordinate with services to prepare or correct programming for spreaders and testers; travel to customer sites to determine the demands and operating conditions of the product or to provide technical assistance for the sales and/or services personnel; travel to other Bromma Sales & Manufacturing sites to discuss design issues and new product development.
• Documentation:
  Establish and maintain product design criteria and standards for Bromma Global Spreaders; prepare reference materials to be sent to the engineering department in Bromma for the design of spreaders that will shipped into the Americas territory.
• Compliance & Continuous Improvement: monitor applicable codes and standards dealing with the mechanical, electrical and structural parts of the product for the Americas; maintain compliance with company policies, Code of Conduct and applicable regulations.
