Engineering Lab Technician Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineering Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting global development teams by addressing pipeline issues, integrating new hardware, and maintaining our lab's infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Be present in the lab every working day to promptly address pipeline issues for global development teams.
- Assess and integrate new boards as they are introduced.
- Assemble Raspberry Pis and build servers.
- Provision servers using automation infrastructure, such as Ansible.
- Perform maintenance on modifications, including soldering, establishing new pin connections, and setting up new test configurations.
- Improve pipeline hardware reliability by recording issues and investigating root causes.
- Manage inventory by updating boards to newer versions, purchasing, and organizing new items.
- Support the continuous expansion of the pipeline.
- Experience with microcontroller units (MCUs).
- Proficiency in soldering.
- Familiarity with Raspberry Pi.
- Linux Support experience.
- Ability to use multimeters.
- Experience with logic analyzers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
The Engineering Lab Technician will work in a dynamic lab environment, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The role requires hands‑on work with various hardware and the use of tools such as multimeters and logic analyzers. The position involves standard working hours, with an emphasis on being present in the lab to address issues as they arise. The dress code is casual, appropriate for a lab setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
