Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and growth-oriented Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes and facilities. The successful candidate will support our strategic operating priorities, focusing on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Execution: Drive the execution and prioritization of maintenance work to improve equipment uptime and reliability. Act as the shift manager directing maintenance teams to ensure safe and compliant work execution on nights and weekends.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands‑on maintenance support for complex troubleshooting and repairs of equipment. Analyze maintenance performance and work orders to identify trends and reduce reactive work.
  • Safety and Compliance: Implement safe work controls in accordance with OSHA, state, local, and site safety regulations. Support safety programs (e.g., LOTO, HECP) and participate in divisional audits.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations for equipment failures, ensuring thorough documentation and corrective actions. Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Quality teams to identify root causes and implement improvements.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and collaborate with skilled craft personnel to enhance team capabilities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvement projects focused on equipment uptime, cost minimization, and maintaining process consistency.

    6:00 pm to 6:00 am
Education and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, or similar) with two years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance environments.

Experience:

Required:

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding P& schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Experience implementing OSHA governed high‑risk work permit standards.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, food, etc.).
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and process safety management.
  • Familiarity with sterile manufacturing equipment and cGMP environments.
  • Experience with SAP and GMP‑compliant maintenance databases.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
