As an Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Operations Engineer, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross‑functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. You are a customer‑obsessed leader that will play an integral part in planning and implementation of the facility network infrastructure—including new builds, retrofits, expansions and program initiatives. Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure a timely handover and engage as a team.

Key Job Responsibilities- Work independently with internal and external teams to manage the lifecycle of challenging projects and own delivery of objectives and targets.
- Actively participateাব firm engineering reviews and make tangible impact on proposed solutions, overall system architecture, and facility processes.
- Partner with stakeholders and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines.
- Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs, perform installation and qualification, and resolve technical deficiencies.
- Lead effective meetings, document decisions, and ensure alignment on expectations with partner teams and vendors.
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans; produce clear summaries for leadership.
- Articulate system and equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams.
- Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals efficiently.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives that improve engineering and cross‑team efficiencies.
- Travel up to 80% domestically, with periods of up to three weeks in a row, including weekends.
You manage quality of implementation across multiple projects, coordinating with operations teams and contractors, deep‑diving progress, and creating solutions. You facilitate planning and implementation meetings, capture and publish detailed notes, and ensure ownership and follow‑through of actions. You review audit mechanisms, track installation opportunities, and অঞ্চ develop shutdown‑workaround solutions. In acceptance testing, you perform systems installation quality, safety, throughput, and performance qualifications, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
In addition, you support and train other engineering team members, utilizing Amazon’s safety, mechanical, electrical and controls installation standards and guidelines.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another STEM field.
- 4+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related role.
- Experience leading projects, programs, or initiatives with increasing scope and impact.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of cross‑functional projects, implementing automated equipment and systems.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.). 것이다>
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations or related STEM field.
- Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with material handling, automation or other technical projects.
- Experience with Six Sigma sizi or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet and other project planning tools.
