Position SummaryThe University Program Specialist will support the department’s education, research, and faculty engagement initiatives by planning and coordinating a wide range of academic and community building events. Working in a part time, hybrid capacity, this role is responsible for organizing workshops, symposia, faculty development programs, research focused gatherings, and other departmental events that enhance collaboration and support the academic mission.
Key responsibilities include coordinating special events such as holiday celebrations, recognition activities, and department wide functions; managing event logistics, scheduling, communications, and virtual platform support; and partnering closely with faculty, staff, and departmental leadership to ensure events are seamless, well executed, and aligned with program goals.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys event coordination, excels at communication and organization, and thrives in a collaborative environment that blends remote and on campus work.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
