About the Role
North Carolina Connections Academy seeks a highly effective and student‑centered educational leader to serve as Manager of Counseling for its K–12 virtual program. This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure students receive comprehensive, high‑quality counseling services that support academic achievement, social‑emotional development, and college and career readiness. The Manager of Counseling plays a key role in maintaining a supportive, student‑ and family‑focused school culture while ensuring counseling services are delivered effectively within a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee delivery of K–12 counseling services
- Supervise school counselors and ensure compliance with state requirements
- Implement comprehensive counseling program aligned to North Carolina standards
- Monitor crisis response protocols
- Collaborate with Special Education and Testing teams
- Support graduation planning and transcript oversight
- Maintain compliance documentation and reporting
- Lead professional development for counseling staff
- Maintain communication with families and stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Valid North Carolina School Counselor license
- Master’s degree in Counseling or related field
- Experience in a K–12 setting required
- Virtual school experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote/virtual environment
- Technological proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Must be able to use personal electronic devices for two‑step authentication and communication
