Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the School’s Assurance of Learning program across all degree programs and areas of concentration.
  • Lead compliance with AACSB and SACSCOC accreditations, including annual internal and external program reporting, completing AACSB survey data, co‑ordinate AACSB accreditation requirements and reporting.
  • Serve on the School’s leadership team to provide strategic and operational direction in support of the School’s mission and vision.
  • Represent the Dean as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by the Dean.
  • Ensure the Unit meets all accreditation timeline requirements; advise Dean, Associate Dean and Department Chairs on accreditation policy and procedures; co‑ordinate major accreditation deliverables (CIR Report, CIR Application, annual surveys, accreditation budget), and attend a minimum of one accreditation‑related seminar or conference annually.
  • Collaborate with Associate Dean, Director of Graduate Programs, and Department Chairs to ensure a robust process for planning, executing and reporting student learning assessments.
  • Report assessment results to School of Business faculty and staff semi‑annually.
  • Collaborate with Associate Dean and Department Chairs to complete the Academic Affairs Annual Reports.
  • Serve on search committees as requested and act as advisor of Beta Gamma Sigma (International Honor Society for AACSB Accredited schools).
  • Provide guidance to the Dean and Department Chairs on the School’s fiscal viability.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and function effectively on a team or in a diverse group.
  • Exercise independent judgement in complex and new situations.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Maintain currency and detailed knowledge of job related policies and procedures (Assessment, Accreditation, Financial).
  • Maintain proficiency in MS Office Suite and specific job related technological resources.
  • Detail oriented and willing to work in a changing environment.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters or doctoral degree preferably from an AACSB accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years work experience in academic assessment of student learning.
  • A minimum of five (5) years teaching in higher education.
  • Detailed knowledge of the AACSB Accreditation Continuous Improvement process and related standards.
  • At least three Assessment/Accreditation training or conferences in the last five years.
