The Legal Training Assistant plays a key role in supporting the firm’s professional development initiatives by managing and assisting with the creation of training content, overseeing the firm’s LMS, and ensuring accurate reporting on training activities. This position is responsible for supporting practice areas in the development and maintenance of SOP’s as well as course materials, tracking activity within the learning operations platform, and coordinating new hire training for attorneys and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Content Management:
    • Work with our practice areas and departments to develop, update, and maintain SOP’s.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop meaningful onboarding and education programs.
    • Manage the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, user management, and troubleshooting.
  • Reporting & Compliance Tracking:
    • Track training attendance, completion rates, and compliance with mandatory learning initiatives.
    • Generate user reports and analytics to ensure compliance.
    • Generate learning reports to assess program impact and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to enhance learning opportunities.
    • Support onboarding training for new hires, ensuring a smooth introduction to the firm’s learning management system.
    • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual training, including scheduling, communications, and material preparation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years professional experience in education, business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm or legal environment, particularly in training, professional development, or compliance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting tools.
