The Department of Criminal Justice is seeking a candidate for a nine‑month tenure‑track faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor) beginning Fall 2025. The selected candidate will teach, conduct research leading to peer‑reviewed publications, and provide service aligned with the Faculty Workload Policy.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, both in‑person and online, using Canvas or a similar LMS and integrating technology and statistical methods.
• Conduct research with potential for external funding, including collaboration with the Institute for Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the Juvenile Justice Institute.
• Develop curriculum, assess programs, and mentor graduate students in thesis and project work.
• Engage in service activities within the Department, College, and University.
• Excel in oral and written communication.

Preferences: Candidates with a teaching specialization in Research Methods and Statistics are encouraged to apply. All areas of specialization will be considered.

• Doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least 18 doctoral‑level hours in Criminal Justice or a related discipline.
• ABD candidates will not be considered.
• A Juris Doctorate does not qualify for this position.
• Evidence of teaching, research, and service at the associate level is required for appointment at Associate Professor.
