2026 Summer Instructional Assistant – Hill Learning Center

Program Dates and Schedule- Training Week: 6/15–6/18, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Program Weeks: 6/22–7/24 (except 7/3). 7:50 AM – 1:50 PM
During Hill’s Summer Program, a collaborative team of educators works together for six weeks to build the confidence and skills of students who need academic support. Instructional assistants (IAs) play a critical role in supporting students, faculty, and staff throughout the program and, in turn, receive valuable professional development and hands‑on experience working with students with learning differences.
Responsibilities- Substitute in classrooms.
- Work one‑to‑one with students.
- Assist with academic and non‑academic program activities.
- Attend faculty meetings and other related events, including an evening open house.
- Supervise students outside the classroom (arrival, breaks, dismissal, etc.).
- Organize activities and supervise students for the Summer Plus extended day option from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
- Support faculty and summer admin with other program needs.
- Experience working with students in an educational environment and with learning differences is preferred.
- Current undergraduate/graduate student or newly licensed teacher.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Paid at $15 per hour, commensurate with experience.
