The Probability Community at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, starting July 1, 2019, or later.
Applicants must demonstrate exceptional research achievements and high-quality teaching. The successful candidate may be appointed in various departments or units, depending on university resources and the candidate’s background and interests, including: the Departments of Mathematics, Statistical Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or the Fuqua School of Business. Joint appointments are also possible.
We encourage candidates from all specialties in probability, as well as those in related fields such as high-dimensional probability, Machine Learning, Data Assimilation, analysis and applications of Markov chain Monte Carlo and other sampling algorithms, Information Theory, and Statistical Mechanics.
