Overview
Optom Clinician to grow our Mebane market. Duke Eye Center is accepting applications for a full-time optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care within a multi-specialty ophthalmology setting. This role includes diagnosis and management of chronic and acute eye disease, as well as post-operative surgical care, delivered in collaboration with a highly skilled, team-oriented clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive eye care and contribute to post-operative surgical care within a multi-specialty ophthalmology setting.
- Diagnose and manage chronic and acute eye diseases.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and a team of clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Rotate between Duke Eye Center’s main campus in Durham and the Duke campus in Mebane to support patient care across locations (approximately 20 miles between sites).
- Help grow the patient base at the new clinic location and participate in a new construction environment.
- Maintain 100% clinical FTE with a 4.5 day work week.
- Active North Carolina optometry license.
- Willingness and ability to travel between Duke Eye Center locations, including Durham and Mebane.
- Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills.
