Overview

Client seeks contract resources to prepare and provide support for County Child Welfare staff during the implementation of the statewide Child Welfare Information system (CWIS). This is NOT a Desktop Support or Help Desk support position. The County Liaison acts as an integral part of Readiness and Implementation Support initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Readiness Lead to facilitate meetings, conferences, and other activities to advocate for CWIS concerns impacting or related to Child Welfare.
  • Foster and maintain effective communication with state and county staff regarding CWIS concerns.
  • Coordinate with CWIS business, policy, and project team members to troubleshoot, replicate, and report errors and/or unexpected outcomes within the CWIS and/or escalate to management as they arise.
  • Apply policy subject matter expertise regarding NC Child Welfare and knowledge of CWIS/NC FAST functionality to guide new users as they navigate and submit data into the system.
  • Travel throughout the state as required by the role.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-team environment and adapt to evolving requirements.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of NC Child Welfare policy.
  • Experience with SharePoint and JIRA.
Travel and Expenses

Travel expenses are reimbursed using the state’s protocol for submitting expenses after travel. The contractor will, at the direction of management, either ride with an employee driving a state vehicle or drive their personal vehicle and be reimbursed mileage after travel. Per diem is paid directly to the contractor and most hotel expenses are direct billed through the state.
