The Project Manager will serve S H Basnight and Sons, a subsidiary of The Steel Network, Inc. This position manages existing projects and grows the project portfolio. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the Door and Hardware industry. Joining an established and talented team, the chosen individual will bring energy, initiative and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales and production environment.

This employee will be the point person to develop door/hardware solutions for customers, resolve technical issues, and maintain professional communication at each stage of the project.

Primary Responsibilities

• Correspond and follow up with customers by sending final door, hardware or other schedules for approval. Assure a prompt return and communicate changes and progress of schedule.
• Schedule delivery with customers and manage logistics to ensure delivery commitments are fulfilled.
• Coordinate and attend job site meetings according to customer schedule and requirements.
• Proactively anticipate customer needs.
• Manage any project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and change order documents.
• Attend sales meetings to provide information or input for any customer service issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in the commercial Door and Hardware Industry
• Strong knowledge of Division 8 and Division 10
• AHC certification or equivalent preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Build and maintain solid relationships with customers as well as industry peers.
• Understand construction contracts and interpret blueprints, specifications and plans.
• Use industry-related software in addition to the Microsoft suite.
• Understand door, frame and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety and other restrictions that relate to the general commercial construction industry.
• Knowledge of electronic hardware.
• Possess excellent communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
