This position will provide administrative support to a multi‑disciplinary safety team which prides itself on excellent customer service. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and budget support to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team. Major duties include departmental correspondence, maintaining accurate training and other databases, report writing, taking and distributing minutes, data collection and analysis, verifying and summarizing data, providing purchasing and budget support, and providing overall administrative structure for the Department.
RequiredKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Experience with financial budgets including purchasing, reconciliation, etc.
- Experience adjusting language or terminology to meet the needs of the audience.
- Experience designing projects and working with minimal supervision.
- Prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
- Professional level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to meet organizational needs.
- Experience adapting to change and working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience following up and through on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Substantive knowledge of office or work unit procedures, methods, and practices.
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge in performance of administrative tasks.
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Compile, assimilate, and organize both printed and electronic information.
- Experience applying knowledge of data collection, storage, organization, manipulation, and or analysis of data.
- Exercise judgment, discretion, and negotiation skills in problem situations.
- Learning, interpreting, and explaining policies, regulations, and programs.
- Responding to inquiries and coordinating a variety of resources in acquiring and disseminating information.
- Working collaboratively with diverse groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Prefer at least an Associate’s degree, with a focus in business, accounting, or management.
