Payroll Administrator

Description

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage full-cycle, multi-state payroll operations. This is an in-office role supporting a collaborative finance team.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bonus, and off-cycle).

+ Ensure compliance with wage and tax laws; coordinate with agencies as needed.

+ Prepare and post payroll journal entries; support general ledger reconciliations and payroll/benefit accruals.

+ Manage garnishments, deductions, benefit billing, and system integrations.

+ Support year-end reporting (W-2s), audits, and payroll data accuracy.

+ Respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.

+ Recommend process improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

+ 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience.

+ Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, GL accounting, reconciliations, and accrual accounting.

+ HRIS experience (ADP preferred) and strong Excel skills.

+ Analytical, organized, and deadline-driven.
