Overview

Priovant is committed to developing therapies that address high unmet need in autoimmune disease. Following our successful Phase 3 data, Priovant is preparing for commercial launch. We are seeking a highly motivated Inventory & Accounting Manager to lead the transition from R&D-based accounting to a commercial inventory model. This individual will be the architect of our inventory valuation processes, ensuring we are able to support a successful commercial launch and be audit-ready as we scale.

This position will report to the Controller and is fully remote, with approximately two days per month of travel to the Durham, NC office required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of inventory accounting workflows within Net Suite
  • Partner with commercial supply to track inventory from raw components to finished goods
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's standard costing model, including labor and overhead allocations
  • Ensure appropriate tracking and reporting for clinical vs. commercial supplies, including proper cutoff of "pre-launch" inventory vs. capitalizable inventory costs
  • Manage the month-end close process for inventory, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Monitor inventory aging and prepare the analysis for excess and obsolete reserves
  • Develop and document internal controls over financial reporting and support auditor requests
  • Support other (non-inventory) month-end close processes, including preparing work papers and accruals, account reconciliations, and various financial reporting packages
  • Support the overall SOX audit, including pulling support for auditors
  • Support annual tax compliance requirements, including sales and use tax, 1099s, etc.
  • Assist in other ad hoc accounting/finance tasks as required
Qualifications
  • 5+ years corporate accounting experience, including at least 3 years of inventory accounting within the life sciences or biotech industries (first-product launch a plus)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and SOX 404
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Net Suite preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with an ability to multi-task and strong organizational and project planning skills
  • Quick learner who adapts well to a fast-paced environment and gets work done, combining creativity, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude to overcome obstacles
