Triton Academy – Talent Pool for Future Learnership Opportunities

Triton Academy is a TETA and QCTO accredited training provider offering courses in NC Freight Handling (Occupational Certificate: Freight Handler); NC Professional Driving (Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver) to unemployed learners. These courses are designed to develop industry- and job-specific skills, empowering participants with the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in the logistics field. Training is available in Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, and the Academy can also assist customers wherever possible with the same courses.

We are currently building a talent pool of motivated and committed individuals for our 12-month National Certificate:
Freight Handling/Occupational Certificate:
Freight Handler. This program is aimed at empowering unemployed South African youth through structured training and hands-on experience in the logistics industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Performance Areas (Training Activities):

• Loading and off-loading goods from vehicles
• Preparing a vehicle for trips
• Receiving, dispatching, and handling freight documentation
• Performing ancillary warehouse and transport-related duties
• Delivery and collection of goods and stock
• General housekeeping and maintaining clean work spaces
• Picking and packing stock accurately
• Receiving incoming stock and verifying against documentation
• Ensuring correct stacking and securing of goods for safe transport

Learning & Development:

• Structured theoretical training aligned with unit standards
• Workplace practical experience and mentorship
• Assessment preparation for final external verification
