Job Description
We have an amazing opportunity for a Mid-Level Developer in Durban!
We require a candidate with :- 5 years’ experience as a Front-end Developer
- Excellent understanding of responsive web design and a mobile first approach to development
- Skillset must include :
- Strong CSS / CSS3 for front end templating
- Strong HTML 5
- PHP (Laravel, CakePHP, Yii)
- Java script / jQuery
- Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of SEO and UX
- Experience with :
- Subversion (Git)
- Database administration (MySQL)
- Sass / Less
- Must be able to code own responsive template from PSD
- Able to manipulate plugins to perform required functions (mentioning examples will be beneficial)
- Experience using child themes and familiar plugins
- Building new Word Press sites / systems from scratch (including themes and plugins)
- Understanding of different CMS platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and Umbraco
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and embracing of their values and principles
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
